We have been asked so often how do you do the vinyl, how do you make the signs or items.
To answer the questions we have put together a storyboard which details how the vinyls are created from customers request to the final item.
The client approached us and asked us if we could recreate this for the wall of her sons bedroom
She asked for very specific colours being red splodges and green letters.
This is a much as we need to try and recreate the image of wall art that you are looking for.
So the design began,
A new font downloaded and the splodges created.
Pieced it all together and prepared the digital image ready for approval by the client.
Change of plan.
After the client saw the proof they decided that they would like the letters in grey and the inside of the letters in green.
So a quick change to the design and a new proof ready and sent by email for approval by the client.
After approval of the proof the image is then preapred ready for the cutting process.
Now the cutting begins, the vinyl is loaded in the cutting machine for the first colour run.
The first colour is now cut and the excess vinyl has been weeded out from the sheet leaving only the bits that are necessary to the design.
This process is repeated with the different colours required in the project.
Once all the cuts have been made and all the excess has been weeded out from the sheet the building process begins to put the graphic together.
The first stage has been completed with two colours now been built together to create the first stage of the graphic.
Now the grey lettering needs to be put into place to finalise the graphic.
This is one of the most difficult tasks as a mistake at this point ruins the whole graphic and would need to be re cut and started again.
Now we have the finished article ready for the transfer tape to be applied so that it can be stuck onto the walls.
Hopefully we can get a final picture of this on the wall which we can add to this page.
The final item cut and finished was 1.5m long by 0.5m high.
